Programs for expectant and new parents.

This free program includes a 90 minute presentation led by a registered nurse and a pediatrician followed by a question/answer period; held one evening a month from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

Attendees will learn necessary information about the New Life Center, admitting process, labor and delivery, visiting hours and discharges.

The program does not include a physical tour.

This two hour support group, facilitated by a Certified Lactation Consultant, allows you to share your breastfeeding experience with other mothers and their babies, and receive guidance for common breastfeeding issues and concerns.

This two and a half hour class provides instruction and discussion on infant bathing, dressing, feeding and safety.  Attending this class before delivery eases the transition into parenthood by making new parents feel more confident with their newborns.

Grandparents and caregivers are invited to register as well.

Classes are offered three times a month on a weekday evening or weekend day.

Class fees include registration for the expectant mom, a support person and all materials.

At this one hour instructor-led class you will learn infant CPR and choking relief using your own personal American Heart Association CPR learning kit.  This kit includes an inflatable Mini Baby CPR learning mannequin, CPR Skills Practice DVD, fold-out Quick Reference Skills Reminders, sanitizing wipes, MiniBaby spare lung and a practice phone.  The kit can be taken home to share with family and friends at the end of the course.

Classes are offered four times a month.

Class fees include registration for the expectant mom, a support person and all materials.

Latch Hour is for new moms with babies four weeks old and younger who may need extra guidance from a board-certified lactation consultant.  In this group setting, review what you learned about breastfeeding during your hospital stay and refine your techniques, so that breastfeeding is comfortable for you and effective for your baby.  Space is limited to 4 moms per session.

This eight week series teaching gentle yoga poses will increase flexibility, strength, circulation, balance and develop the mind-body-spirit connection.  A certified prenatal yoga instructor will guide the expectant mom in a safe and supportive manner through relaxing movements and breathing techniques designed to support her pregnancy.

The class is offered on Tuesday evenings and is recommended during the 2nd and 3rd trimester.
